Welcome to Mans Ruin Tattoo & Piercing! We are a small, quaint studio specializing in putting out great art and a positive, clean experience. We have been voted one of the best tattoo/piercing studios in WNC for 21 years. We are proud of this especially since our studio is only staffed by a few good folks. We like each experience to be personal and on an individual basis. The studio itself, we recently moved to 1085 Tunnel Rd. The new studio is inside a beautiful art deco building in East Asheville, just around the corner from one of our favorite places, the WNC Nature Center! We are also now only minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our shop itself is inviting and peaceful. The tattoo room is private and has windows for natural light. The piercing room is also private and a relaxing environment. Our front room is full of the largest and most diverse selection of body jewelry in WNC. We carry all implantation grade jewelry which includes 14k gold as well as titanium and steel. There is also a huge abundance and variety of glass, bone, horn, precious and semi precious stone. The front room also boasts stained glass made by us and natural as well as organic soaps/lotions made by a local artisan. As far as sterilization, we have a separate clean room which hosts a spore tested autoclave. Despite the absence of body piercing laws in North Carolina we ensure every client and every piercing is safe by adhering to strict personal standards. All tattoo equipment is disposable which leaves zero risk from unsterile/unclean equipment.
